With our experienced and certified personnel and the latest technology, our main principle is to provide services to our customers in the fastest and most economical way while maintaining minimum risk standards through partnerships with world-renowned brands. The number of fire suits required on board varies depending on the type of vessel. Standard ships are required to carry a minimum of 2 fire suits, while tankers must carry 4 fire suits. All personnel must be familiar with wearing fire suits, and the ship's safety officer is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper condition of the fire suits. These fire suits must always be ready for use and fire-fighting equipment must be complete in the locations specified in the fire plan.
Nomex is a special fiber technology that provides protection against heat and flames. Due to these properties, it is an ideal material for workers in the petroleum, chemical, metal, transportation, energy, and electrical industries. Nomex fire suits are widely used worldwide in clothing for areas with risk of ignition and flaming, and in areas exposed to liquid metal splashes. It is manufactured in compliance with EN469:2005 MED standards. When exposed to extreme heat, Nomex undergoes a special reaction that captures more energy in the fabric, providing extra protection to the wearer and reducing heat transfer.
Fire extinguisher selection should be based on the fire class. Class A Fires (solid materials such as wood, paper, and fabric) are suitable for foam, dry powder, or water extinguishers. Class B Fires (flammable liquids such as oil, fuel, and paint) should use foam, dry powder, or CO2 extinguishers. Class C Fires (gas fires) should use dry powder extinguishers. Electrical Fires must use CO2 or dry powder extinguishers; water extinguishers must never be used on electrical equipment. Oil Pan Fires are best handled with specially designed wet chemical fire extinguishers.
Wheeled fire extinguishers are high-capacity suppression systems designed for use in large areas and high-risk fire locations. They are suitable for Class A and B fires and are preferred in large areas such as raw material warehouses, furniture showrooms, ships, petrol stations, and gas storage facilities. They come standard with a 5-meter hose and are designed for single-person operation. Dry powder wheeled extinguishers are available in 50 and 100 kg capacities, CO2 wheeled extinguishers in 10, 20, and 30 kg capacities, and foam wheeled extinguishers in 50 and 100 liter capacities.
Fire hoses are critical components of fire safety systems and require regular maintenance. Fire hoses used to carry water or other fire retardants from fire hydrants are designed to work at pressures between 8 and 20 bars. Periodic testing and inspection must be performed to ensure the durability and reliability of the hoses. Standard fire hoses are resistant to temperatures between -40°C and +100°C and are manufactured in accordance with Med 96/98/EC SBG, RMRS, and DIN 14811:2008-01 standards. In operations with explosion risk, the use of antistatic fire hoses is mandatory.
